Attach the adapter securely between the large tank and your empty 1-pound propane bottle, installing the nozzle upside down.
Slowly open the main valve on the large tank to begin refilling.

“I like the way it angled down for the refilling bottle. Technically it should increase the flow with the gravity. My setup is putting the propane tank upside down on the edge of the table and have the coleman bottle on the table side connected to the kit. It works really well with the red valve, easier than having to reach the propane switch and rotate the switch. Also, the regular adapter one side is reverse so it is always tricky to use it but this one is without that issue which is great. Eve”

“With this adapter you will be able to refill your 1 pound propane bottle with a 20 pound tank in a minute. I recommend weighting first a full 1lb bottle, it should be 16.4oz/465gr. Chilling the empty bottle in the fridge some 20 minutes before filling will enable to add a few more grams of gas. With the red valve closed, install to both tanks. Open (rotate) the valve slowly and the gas will flow from the fullest tank to the emptiest. Check the gauge, when the needle indicates full, close the red”

“I'm not sure what you would use this for, but if you were to try and fill up those "single use" propane tanks, the dial tells you exactly how much you have in them without dangerously overfilling them. I've heard of people refilling these, which is illegal, but have had great success. These crazy law breakers also recommend putting the tanks in the freezer for an hour or so before refilling them, which is illegal. It helps fill them much faster. ”
